Redistricting in Idaho

Jump to

What is Redistricting?

Redistricting is the way we change the districts that determine who represents us.

In Idaho, a bipartisan, six-member Independent Commission for Reapportionment is selected to redraw the two congressional and 35 state legislative districts. The maps are drawn every ten years based on the most recent U.S. Census population data. Maps require approval by a two-thirds majority of the commission.
