Online Voter Registration Is Closed

Voter registration is closed until the day after the upcoming election on November 7, 2023. Any voter registrations received will be held by the county clerk until then.

Election day registration will be available at your precinct polling location. To register to vote on election day you must appear in person at your precinct polling location with proof of identity and address (Idaho Code 34-408A).

Online Absentee Ballot Requests Are Closed

The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot for the upcoming election has passed. The online absentee ballot request system will reopen the day after the next election, and you may request an absentee ballot for any future elections in the year.

In the meantime, you may request a 2022 Absentee Ballot using the PDF Absentee Request Form and submitting it to your County Clerk's office either in person, or by mail.

Idaho Military and Overseas Citizens - uocava

UOCAVA voters are Idahoans who are:

  1. Active members of the U.S. military who are currently absent from their Idaho residence due to deployment; or
  2. Spouses or dependents of #1 who, due to the deployment of #1, are absent from their Idaho residence; or
  3. Currently living outside the United States.

Request your absentee ballot from the Federal Voting Assistance Program.

Notice About Republican Caucus Locations

The Idaho Republican Caucus locations will be different from the state polling places listed on the polling place locator here on voteidaho.gov.

New Registration Requirements

House Bill No. 340 was passed during Idaho’s 2023 legislative session. Due to this change, starting July 1st, 2023, new voter registrations must provide an approved proof of residence document in order to complete the registration process.

New voters who have not provided the approved proof of identification and residence will be unable to request an absentee ballot until those requirements have been met.

New Registration Requirements

House Bill No. 340 was passed during Idaho’s 2023 legislative session. Due to this change, starting July 1st, 2023, new voter registrations will need to provide one of the approved proofs of residence documents in order to complete the registration process.

If your residence address does not match the record on your driver’s license, you may still begin the registration process via the online portal; however, your application will not be complete. To satisfy this requirement, you may update your driver’s license record or provide one of the approved documents to your county elections office or at the polls.

Online Voter Registration is closed

Online Voter Registration system (OVR) is closed until May 17, 2023 due to the upcoming election on May 16.

You may still register to vote in-person during your county’s Early Voting period, and on Election Day.
Please contact your county clerk for more information.
